Kornerupine falls in the category of rare and collector's gems. Mostly it is seen in Cat's Eye form with a very dark green, almost black, body color and a white or greenish-white eye. But transparent faceted Kornerupine is extremely beautiful in its muted shades of green and gray. It is unusual in large sizes over 2 carats. |
